How many horses are at CAVALLUNA?
CAVALLUNA features around 60 horses per tour. The show offers an impressive variety of horse breeds, including both noble warmbloods and powerful coldbloods. Who owns the horses at CAVALLUNA?
The horses belong to the riders or their teams and are not owned by the show. Each rider and groom is personally responsible for his or her horse: cleaning the stables, braiding the manes, feeding and giving loving care and attention. During the breaks in the show and during the week, the horses and ponies spend time with their teams in the CAVALLUNA stables, where they have plenty of exercise in the fields and paddocks and can relax and recover. >> Read more

No, the horses at CAVALLUNA are not ridden with rollkur. CAVALLUNA attaches great importance to a healthy and natural posture of the horses. Unnatural and forced positions, which can result from rollkur, are strictly avoided. Instead, the emphasis is on correct riding techniques that promote a harmonious relationship between horse and rider.

No, the horses at CAVALLUNA are not tortured. The welfare of our animals is our first priority. Both the company itself and independent official veterinarians constantly monitor the conditions in which our horses are kept and presented. This applies both during the week in our stables at home and in every show city we visit. We pay the utmost attention to detail, whether it is transport, stable tents or feed. Do your horses stay in boxes all day?
No, our horses do not spend all day in boxes. At the CAVALLUNA stables, we offer our noble animals a natural environment that is conducive to their well-being. During the week, they enjoy spacious pastures and plenty of room to roam. At the weekends, they are housed in spacious stable tents that meet German stable standards. Does CAVALLUNA comply with animal welfare regulations?
Yes, CAVALLUNA’s horse husbandry fully complies with animal welfare regulations. To ensure adherence to these standards, Anita Förster serves as our official animal welfare officer in accordance with Section 11 of the German Animal Welfare Act.
